LH Noggle is a geometric type family designed for branding, wordmarks and display typography, drawing inspiration from hand-painted lettering, storefront signs and vernacular typographic culture. The family is built around two complementary styles — Noggle Sans and Noggle Script, which share a dynamic slant axis ranging from −24° to +24°. But rather than simply “italicizing” the design, the axis behaves almost mechanically: some shapes lean, others rotate, while certain forms remain perfectly still, creating a deliberate tension between movement and stability.
Available in 7 weights from Hairline to Black, Noggle moves between rigid geometric construction and fluid, sign-painter-inspired gestures. Sharp cuts, compressed curves and shifting proportions give the family a rhythm that feels both controlled and slightly unpredictable, like a meticulously engineered system constantly trying to escape its own grid.
The coexistence of the Sans and Script styles allows Noggle to alternate between architectural precision and expressive motion without losing coherence. The result is a type system built for contemporary identities, logos, wordmarks, packaging and editorial compositions that need personality without falling into nostalgia.
Rooted in the visual language of painted shopfronts and commercial signage, Noggle embraces typography as both structure and performance, serious enough for branding systems, dramatic enough to occasionally steal the entire layout.
